Glorious Glamping at Fairmead Farm
We’re thrilled to be back for another summer at Fairmead Farm in 2023!
This year Glorious Glamping has a nature-based theme, in celebration of the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside we’re so lucky to call our temporary home.
We’ll have 3 areas of the glamping site available to book in 2023 – each with its own outside seating area with picnic benches, straw bales and giant beanbags, plus BBQ and firepit.
Red Kite Glamping Area
Red kites often swirl overhead at Fairmead Farm, unmistakable with their reddish-brown body, angled wings, deeply forked tail, and unique whistling call. Our largest group glamping area is named after these exquisite birds of prey.
Red kite sleeps up to 40 guests, in ten 4 person tents. All tents have 4 single, futon-style beds, ready made with sheets, blankets, pillow and towels. There’s a minimum booking of 20 people for the Red Kite area.
Almscliffe Glamping Area
A defining feature of the view from our field at Fairmead Farm is Almscliffe Crag – a large outcrop of Millstone Grit which stands above the Lower Wharfe Valley, popular with hikers and climbers.
Our medium sized group glamping area has three 6 person bell tents (single beds), two 4 person tents (single beds) and three 2 person tents (one double bed in each), sleeping up to 32 people in total. Just let us know which tent options suit your group best in the notes of your booking. There is a minimum group size of 10 people for Almscliffe.
Kingfisher Glamping Area
All beds at Glorious Glamping are futon-style beds, and are ready made with sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. We recommend all guests bring a duvet or sleeping bag – with COVID we’re washing everything thoroughly every week and we just can’t get through that many duvets. Each glamping area can customised to your requirements with our bespoke decorations packages, including flags, bunting and the Glorious Glamping Giant Letters – more information on our bespoke decorations packages can be found here.

On site facilities
In 2023, we will have the use of two barns, providing additional facilities and indoor space for fun and games, plus The TinyTalian – a gorgeous horsebox serving delicious food and drinks
The GG Bar
Underneath a giant disco ball, with bunting cascading either side, you’ll find the hub of the site – the GG bar, where our friendly crew will be on hand all weekend to look after you and your group.
The bar is surrounded by festoon lighting, straw bales, giant bean bags and colourful furniture for a really colourful, friendly vibe. The bar serves a great range of soft and alcoholic drinks, mocktails, cocktails and shots. Inside the bar you’ll also find:
- a fancy dress box
- a chest full of outdoor games and circus toys
- plenty of charging points for charging of phones and small electrical items (and for those who are glamorous glamping there’s plugs next to full length mirrors for hair drying, straightening & make up)
- tea and coffee making facilities
- spare tables for food, and a microwave
The Party Barn
New for 2023! We have an additional barn, available for hire, for groups who want their own exclusive indoor space for the weekend. The cost of hiring The Party Barn is £150 per night, including decorations – if your party has a theme just let us know.
Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks into the Party Barn if they have hired it for the evening. Of course you are also very welcome to pop next door to purchase drinks and cocktails from the GG Bar – pre-purchased drinks packages are also available including Gin bar and Prosecco bar options, which can be laid out for you in the Party Barn.
The TinyTalian
Want a weekend off from cooking? We’ve got you covered! Another new arrival on site is The TinyTalian – a gorgeous, converted horse box serving delicious food and drinks. The TinyTalian will be open from 8am – 10am on Saturday and Sunday mornings, serving fresh Italian coffee, a selection of teas, hot croissants, and pastries. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the TinyTalian will be open from 6pm – 8pm, serving handmade woodfired pizza and Italian pasta dishes. Just let us know your order and your preferred time to eat and we’ll have everything ready for you.
Toilets and showers
Showers and proper toilets are in converted horse boxes and trailers, kitted out to a high standard – the water is hot and the showers are powerful. We provide towels, toilet roll, hand sanitiser and hand towels. Please bring your own shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc (but ask the staff for a complimentary bottle if you happen to forget)
